You have not, for you give not
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
Almost all of us are lacking in life in one area or the other. We desire and we do not get. It may be things, time or love; we are always wishing or fighting for it.
The Lord reminds us that He is the true provider, we may work but yet it is He who provides us our output.
The best way to look at it is to look at the oldest profession in mankind - farming. Adam was the first human and when he and Eve were thrown on to earth he farmed to feed himself and his wife.
A farmer tilts the soil, plants seeds, waters, but if the land is not fruitful then He has to struggle even more and may or may not get any harvest. It is the Lord Who hold control over the land making it rich or barren.
We may work hard or hardly work, but the result depends on the Lord. If we acknowledge the hand of God in our output then we will realize the due (the tithe) we have to give Him. It is not only in money but also in our time that we need to tithe to the Lord. Since we do not tithe our time we find ourselves very busy wasting great time for even small simple things.
Give unto the Lord all which is due to Him and find yourself satisfied and contented in all your needs. Tithing does not mean to put a certain amount in the Church bag. The Lord has refined in the Word how much to tithe and unto whom to tithe.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, You alone are our providers and giver of all things. We may work with our hands, but it is your Hands that give us the results, the output. Lord, forgive us for not tithing or not tithing righteously. Help us lord to overcome out greed and to give all that which is due unto You, so that we may receive and be satisfied...
We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[ Reference Scriptures ]
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
