Do it in the situation

Romans 12:12 - Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

The three activities we are told to do have a common factor between them; their TVM (Tense Voice Mood).

The TVM of all three is 5723 - Present, Active, Participle

Present:
The present tense represents a simple statement of fact or reality viewed as occurring in actual time.

Active:
The active voice represents the subject as the doer or performer of the action.

Participle:
The Greek participle corresponds for the most part to the English participle, reflecting "- ing" or "- ed" being suffixed to the basic verb form.

This means, we need to put it in our mind that this is a necessity, and we should get ourselves to do it, even if our spirits does not feel like it.

Our rejoicing in hope should not be after the situation but at the time when we are facing the situation. We need to remind ourselves the promises of God and rejoice in them even before we actually receive it. Our patience should not be after reacting but before even reaction to the situation. Our prayers should not be when we go home in the night, but at the moment when we face the situation.

For example: if your boss is firing you for something which is not your mistake and it is not the right moment for you to tell him the truth, in your mind you speak to the Lord and tell Him how you feel and what you want of Him. You believe that the Lord is with you and nothing can go against you. You rejoice in the prosperity which the Lord has planned for you. Your spirit might say speak your mind at that very moment or quit the job, but do not listen to your spirit. Tell your spirit to hold on and receive the goodness which is to come.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Lord God, You are wonderful God. You are always there for me. Lord, help us remember You in the thick of our situations. Help us remember your promises and rejoice in them. Do not let our anxiety make us lose the blessing You have set before us. Help us mold ourselves according to You...

We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
